Up & Down the Fortune Wheel

The weekends was hella fun. The best weekends I've ever had this month, period. It was damn near worth it playing hooky with my co-curriculum class. Sis took me out swimming at a resort pool about an hour drive from home with her housemate and it was pretty fantastic. I haven't had a good swim since God knows when and I like the housemate enough for the situation to not feel awkward or uncomfortable. She fed me more than enough to last 3 average days in college and spoiled me with random wants of mine. As a result, I now acquire a shirt that says "WARNING : YOU ARE APPROACHING A PROFESSIONAL FANGIRL" and a couple of other things. It was awesome. But of course, as the weekends ended, so did my turn of being on the upside of the Fortune Wheel.  All of a sudden, my period hits me with a BLAM! on Monday and add a near crippling pain of cramping in the below stomach area, less work was done than it should that night. As it was, I lost my yellow file which held m

Spoken Words & Written Ones

Hello. Two nights ago, sis and I were talking on the phone, me listening out to her rants as she unloads a bunch of shit that's been dropped on her head recently. I can tell she had used the residual energy to caught up on her fandoms, since we were near high as fuck spouting fandom references like rainbows out of a pot of gold. It was awesome. She persuaded me to spend the weekends with her, and after discussing things a bit with my roomie, I decided it was worth playing hooky for once. Consider it a 'family emergency'. I missed the thing we always do with changing from one ship to another regardless of the different fandoms they are from. We were talking about Hannibal because when we're discussing plain murder, Hanny is pretty much the best to go.  It's like what I always say, if you're planning a murder, make sure you get away with it. Moriarty's too big a picture to get involved with anyway. ( Although cases in SPN and Sherlock could be helpfu

Back again from Home - Test week

So, back again to my quaint little room with my roomie in college. Time flew so fast when you're having fun, they say. Well, they ain't wrong. It was awesome to be home, though. Did hella good on some thinking. I thought PALAM was hot. Back home, it's like someone turned up the heat in a freakin Sahara lol. I love the late afternoon time. When the clock strikes 10 and the sun rises up, it's all hot as hell but later in the near evening, the wind picks up and there would be a slow, soothing breeze across the neighbourhood. The blue sky is clear and the birds are all but dancing in the clouds. It looks the perfect set for tea and a book. Even an introvert as myself couldn't waste the opportunity to enjoy such a weather. I went out and water mom's garden, singing out loud carelessly. After that, I took a book and sit in the swing just outside my window and relax. Its basically the poster image of relaxing. The peace. The tranquility.  Who needs yoga when

Feels good to CARRY ON at home ;)

It's been 6 days since I arrived well and safe at home from PALAM. My break ends on this 16th, which, now I realized, is 4 days away. Holy shit, I didn't even realize that till now lol wtf. Time is like sand around here sriously.  I've only been doing what I always do at home. Chores, read, binge-watch series, chores, and read again.  Speaking of reading, since I finished Mr Mercedes by Stephen King a while ago, I started on Carry On by Rainbow Rowell , the author of Fangirl and Eleanor&Park . I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it in one day. Like a frickin addict. I finished Mr Mercedes in several weeks, not because I was busy (okay, half of it) or I read slow, it's because I try to savor my time with each book and spend more time with them personally instead of going through each page and to the next like an addict who's itching for a fix. I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't do the same with Carry On , because it's s

It's Going Good :)

Hey y'alls. It's week 5 and midterm breaks is 3 days away. Everyone is geared up for home, me decidedly less enthusiastic. Not to say I don't miss it, just that the feeling is mixed with dread is all. It'll be extremely great to see my family again though. And the cats and Mr Poopie. Tests and quizzes will be right after breaks and that's meant to keep us on our toes. LOL Classes have been awesome, Literature in particular making its way to my most favored of all.  Linguistics can be more understandable and entertaining if I take the textbook and read it in my own peace and quiet -possibly the library, where I can get more research should I need to. Edu Foundations serves to be more of a memorise-notes kinda subject.  For Lit, though, I am absolutely in love with. Although I feel like it'll be the death of me one day. *snorts* It's the only place where the books I read gets recognition and be useful. The Book of Life by Will Schwalbe , Mr Mercedes
