Feels good to CARRY ON at home ;)

It's been 6 days since I arrived well and safe at home from PALAM.
My break ends on this 16th, which, now I realized, is 4 days away. Holy shit, I didn't even realize that till now lol wtf. Time is like sand around here sriously.

I've only been doing what I always do at home.
Chores, read, binge-watch series, chores, and read again.
Speaking of reading, since I finished Mr Mercedes by Stephen King a while ago, I started on Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, the author of Fangirl and Eleanor&Park.
I couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it in one day.
Like a frickin addict.

I finished Mr Mercedes in several weeks, not because I was busy (okay, half of it) or I read slow, it's because I try to savor my time with each book and spend more time with them personally instead of going through each page and to the next like an addict who's itching for a fix.
I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't do the same with Carry On, because it's so good. Of course, I couldn't help being sceptical at first whether or not Simon and Baz truly did end up canonically together or they were baits like Destiel, considering from what I remember in Fangirl. In the end, it was so damn good I felt like it was the day I watched Hannigram became canon all over again. Better than my treachorous, damning, OTP that is Destiel.

(all ships that are canon are better than Destiel, duh. Because Destiel is NOT.)

There are still several books I haven't gotten around to read yet and I promised myself I would. Perhaps Sis would be amenable to me taking a few back to my room in college?

Anyway, Carry On is fabulous.
Wondrous.
Magickal.
Stunning.
Ephemeral.
Beauty of Youth.

Having read Fangirl beforehand (of course, since Fangirl is published earlier than Carry On) I can't help but to focus on Simon and Baz as a ship, while taking in their characters and feelings as a whole, separate people second. It's quite unfair, given their struggles.
It feels like I'm just glossing over the surface, ignoring the variety of gems underneath.

Which is where the fanfics come on.

(BOOM. 4th wall disintegrated.)
